Our monthly Grief Circles in West London offer a compassionate space to share experiences of loss, find understanding and connect with others who know what it means to grieve.
Whether your loss is visible or invisible, recent or longstanding, you are welcome to join us.
Why grieve in company?
Grief can be an isolating experience. Many people carry their loss quietly, feeling that others have moved on or would not understand. A circle offers something different: an hour in which your loss is acknowledged, where you can speak or simply listen, and where you discover that you are not alone in what you feel.
Grief shared is not grief diminished. It is grief witnessed.
What happens in a circle
- Circles meet monthly and last around an hour.
- Each circle is facilitated by Dr Chloe Paidoussis-Mitchell, Chartered Counselling Psychologist.
- You are welcome to speak or to listen. There is no pressure to share.
- What is shared in the circle stays in the circle.
- Circles are open to any loss: bereavement, and the losses others may not see.
Circles for organisations
Grief Circles and bereavement peer-support groups can also be run for workplaces, community organisations and professional teams. Find out more about working with organisations.
Grief Circles are a supportive group space and are not a substitute for individual therapy. If you need more support, individual therapy is available.
